1. Introduction

AiMeDB is the service responsible for handling AiMe users. This notably includes translation between access codes and AiMe user IDs, however a number of auxillary functions are supported.

All communication with this service is performed on port 22356, and is encrypted as outlined in the communication specification.

The canonical service address is aime.naominet.jp, and the majority of clients hardcode this hostname.

Danger

Upon observation that this service is available publicly, one may be inclined to connect to it.

DO NOT.

The official AiMeDB performs a sufficient number of authentication checks such that your attempts will be fruitless. I’m saving you the time checking. Just don’t. It should go without saying, but I’m saying it anyway.
